QBSolutions.com We've got a QuickBooks® Solution for You!
QBSolutions.com was formed in
2007 by Kenneth Brown. Ken is an Advanced Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor. Here's why he might be a good fit with your company.
Ken
moved to Vermont from the mid-west, via New York City, in the 1970's.
So, as his adult children often remind him, he's not a 'real'
Vermonter. He has, however, many traits in common with that mythical
"Vermonter" that we hold in such high esteem. Ken is honest,
trustworthy, hard working, inquisitive, tenacious, and creative. He is
excited to take on challenging tasks, and work thorough problem solving
to come up with solutions. That's why "Solutions" is part of the company name.
Ken
was a professional free-lance photographer in New York City before
moving to Vermont. Once here, he engaged in a teaching career for a
brief time in the southern part of the state. At the same time he
started a direct mail company that specialized in handmade American
crafts. After selling the company he spent several years working for
one of the largest direct mail gardening companies in the country - both in marketing and in new product development. In all of these
businesses he had direct bottom-line responsibility, so he became very
much involved in the financial aspects of running a business ? accounts
payable, accounts receivable, inventory, purchasing, manufacturing,
profit and loss and balance sheets.
In
the mid-1980's Ken, along with his wife Carol Jenkins, started a mail-order gourmet coffee company named Brown &
Jenkins Trading Co. Ken managed that company for almost 20 years,
fine-tuning his business skills in the process. By the 80's affordable
financial software became available that enabled small and mid-sized
businesses to manage their business finances in a manner that gave them
much more control, and the kind of information they needed to make
decisions and had it in their hands when they wanted - not "when I can
get to it."
Ken
worked with his financial software to get the information he wanted
when he wanted, and he trained many employees to utilize the software
to obtain valuable information they needed in order to do their jobs.
Since
selling the coffee business in 2002, Ken has volunteered to manage the
finances of several non-profits. It was during this process that he
became aware of the need in the business and non-profit communities for
advisors with his expertise -- expertise in their financial software,
and how to get the most out of it, and expertise in common-sense
solutions for businesses and non-profits that are endeavoring to
achieve their mission.
The
QuickBooks ProAdvisor Program seemed like the perfect partnership
program for Ken to be most effective. During 2007 he has worked
diligently to become familiar with the many editions of QuickBooks and
how to use them to the best advantage of the business or industry they
were designed for. He quickly passed the certification tests that
entitle him to use the Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor logo. He is
certified in QuickBooks 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and is certified by Intuit as an Advanced Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor.
If
QBSolution.com seems like a good fit for your business or non-profit,
Ken would appreciate the opportunity to work with you -- whether it be
for an hour on the phone, a day in your office, weekly, quarterly, or
on an 'as-needed' basis. He looks forward to meeting you.
